How to make image frame templates to be used by the nIFTTTy scheduler when pinning on Pinterest

This is where you get the details you need to make and submit image frames that will be used by the nIFTTTy scheduler when pinning on Pinterest.

In future we may find a way to use them in other Nifty tools but for now they only be available in the scheduler and only when pinning on Pinterest.

The small print 🤓

When you submit an image, you agree to and are confirming:

  • you hold all the necessary rights to the image to allow you to grant a license for its use in the ways described
  • you grant a license to allow the image to be used by the Nifty tools to enhance the products its users promote
  • the image may also be used in describing and promoting the Nifty tools
  • the license you grant to use the image in the ways described will never expire

In return for the above, you’ll be able to use the image frames submitted by others when you use the Nifty tools for your own promotion activity.

Getting started

We need image frame templates in a variety of aspect ratios, as listed below. Each is to be in PNG format with a 300x300px transparent square to hold the product image. Please be precise with that square! You can place the square anywhere within the template.

Feel free to overlap the product square with frame elements to add class and beauty and to visually break up the square some. Do bear in mind when designing them that any image frame could be used to display any product. See a little further down for the themes we need for them.

If you like, you can download any of the following templates as a starting point. Each one has two versions, one with the image centred vertically and one with a third of the background at the top and two thirds at the bottom. Just click and drag the ones you want to your desktop.

Themes needed for the image frames

As mentioned above we need image frames to cover a bunch of themes. In addition to general purpose ones we need frames designed specifically for:

  • Halloween
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas
  • Hanukkah
  • New Year
  • St Valentine’s Day
  • St Patrick’s Day
  • Easter
  • Chinese New Year
  • July 4th
  • Eid
  • Diwalli
  • July 4th
  • (there must be others you can think of that deserve a mention here)

We can’t go live with any theme until we’ve got an absolute minimum of 5 or your pins / boards will look too “samey”. Variety is what we all need so our pins are really appealing and attract those clicks and purchases!

Once you’ve made your image frame, you need to get it to us with the email address we’ll give you shortly. Initially, only send us one so we can check it out and give any feedback, if needed. When you get the thumbs up from us, you can then send a bunch, or keep sending them singly.

What you need to do is to highton put together the two unusual words in this paragraph ridley, separate them with a dot and add to the end.

Got that? Good!

Now it’s over to you. Happy designing!
